Diablo 4 Season 7 Efficiency Guide
[#game]
This is an efficiency guide for Diablo 4’s current season, showing you how to complete all seasonal content in approximately 3 days.
The Blood Wave Necromancer is this season’s best build.
For reference, these were the top builds in previous seasons:
- Quill Volley Spiritborn (Season 6)
- Lightning Spear Sorcerer (Season 5)
Stage 1: Seasonal Quests To Level 60
- Begin with the Minion Necromancer build, following the recommended skills there
- Change difficulty to the hardest available
- Focus on completing the seasonal quests and Headhunts
- Equip higher item level gear as you find it—keep legendaries (or uniques) on once you find them and only upgrade to higher level legendaries
- Salvage all unused items (selling to vendors isn’t worthwhile since you’ll find plenty of gold) as non-ancestral items are useless later
- Use any elixirs you find for extra XP as these are cheap to craft later
- You’ll reach level 60 before finishing the quests—this stage takes about 2 hours
Stage 2: Optimizing Starter Build
- At level 60, take time to optimize your build
- Apply aspects to all your items
- Farm Nightmare Dungeons for Obducite and apply it to gear (don’t worry—you’ll get it back when salvaging)
- Add sockets to all items and insert gems
- Salvage unused items since non-greater affix items aren’t endgame viable
- Run Pit until you reach Torment 1 to unlock Greater Affix items
- With some optimization, you can complete Torment 2 as well
- Next, hunt for Blood Wave build essentials
- Focus on getting the unique pants Kessime’s Legacy—farm the Zir boss in groups using up your accumulated boss materials
- After acquiring the pants, collect needed aspects and switch to Blood Wave
- This build should let you reach Torment 4
Stage 3: Leveling Paragon and Optimizing Items
- Use the party finder to join groups for faster XP gains and activity completion
- Improve gear by running solo Nightmare Dungeons, focusing on masterworking and finding ancestral items (with greater affixes)
- Level paragon efficiently through group Infernal Hordes—coordinate incense use for bonus XP
- Run Pit to increase glyph levels
- Salvage all items that don’t have a greater affix
Stage 4: End Game
- Complete the season journey once you’ve optimized gear, masterworked items, and developed medium-level glyphs
- For cosmetic rewards, run the Dark Citadel weekly
